Tom Flanagan is right

The recent shunning of Tom Flanagan over his questions and comments concerning justice in child pornography cases is ridiculous.
As far as I am concerned, prison terms are ridiculous. We do not need any more tenants in our public incarceration system.
The Conservative Party and CBC responses break the camel’s back. We are a living in a nazi state. This is a great segue into the numbskulling questions we hear from right-wingers: “Well, if not jail, what is the punishment???” I have the answer!
For the first time in my life, I thought of a single useful purpose for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. They should broadcast the names, addresses and mugshots of people convicted of child abuses of all kinds.
There is no punishment needed for these creeps. What child pornography creeps deserve is the treatment that Tom Flanagan unjustly got: shunning.
I challenge any so-called “conservative” to explain why the CBC is not yet put to proper use in informing the public of child abusers and violent offenders, for that matter.

Canada is a liberal nation where we embrace the person who is accused of a crime. We offer an accused many civil rights that include the right to silence, the right to free legal representation and the right to privacy just to mention few. When our accused person is in custody we offer them free health care, free medical prescriptions, free dental care and free eye care. We offer the accused person housed in our jails the freedom of religion and will accommodate their diet according to any cultural and religious beliefs. We also offer our accused persons many other privileges such as free internet and television. We also offer the accused person the right to vote while even in jail. We also offer segregated units for the personal protection of those who are accused of committing crimes against children. We also offer conjugal visits for our inmates of jails with their life significant partner. We offer many day release programs if an accused wishes to visit an ailing family member. We also offer a very generous early release program such as day parole or even full parole often with minimal release conditions. In Canada we are a proud liberal nation with liberal policies that demonstrate to the world what a democracy is that embraces a humanitarian approach to rehabilitating our persons accused of crimes. In keeping with this we should embrace Tom Flanagan just like we embraced Clifford Olsen, Karla Homolka, Léopold Dion, Michael Wayne McGray, Peter Woodcock and Dr. Guy Turcotte whom we even released.
“I challenge any so-called “conservative” to explain why the CBC is not yet put to proper use in informing the public of child abusers and violent offenders, for that matter.”
It’s impractical — 2010/2011 there were 93,347 violent offence cases brought to court. That’s more than ten per hour to cover even if you’re transmitting 24 hours a day every single day of the year.
You’re just privatizing the justice system and promoting vigilantism.
I don’t think mobs storming the houses of child pornographers is necessarily the right approach despite how satisfying it might feel.
