Murray should have known better! He was in it for the money!!!
Diprivan should be used in a medical setting, not for home use.
And certainly not for someone with sleep deprivation.
He is guilty and he knows it! Diprivan should only be applied by a competent anesthesiologist . Murray was not that!
It's only a matter of time Murray, You will be arrested and charged with murder.

To Matt Pollock...When calling people "foolish, uninformed ignorants", don't you mean "YOURSELVES" instead of "YOURSELFS"??? I, too, am an Intensive Care RN who CAN spell. Perhaps it would be wise to refrain from calling people childish names and take a look at the "Man in the Mirror" instead and not make a public demonstration of your own ignorance.

Can't say too much about the doctor, but am not impressed. Not being board cerfified in cardiology eventually will prevent you from practicing, as your hospital does require that to be done by a certain time period or face losing the ability to practice cardiology.

It sounds to me that Conrad was practicing out of his realm of expertise, as he was unfamiliar with the potential dangers of a propofol drip which can easily render someone unconscious and not breathing which can occur within a short time and in 5mins cause a cardiac arrest from anoxia (lack of oxygen). This can occur easily if one does not have both a pulse oxy and end tidal CO2 monitor, routine standards of care, along with oxygen when someone is on profolol. It is also standard of care to be viligant and not asleep, when you are monitoring a patient on propofol infusion. Any anesthesiologist would find Dr. Conrad guilty of gross negligence, which he was not an anesthesiologist. Also, insomnia is not an approved indication for propofol infusion, and is outside the standard of care.

As far as CPR is concerned, I doubt that Dr. Conrad was certified for current in BLS.

I don't know the Dr personally, but my cousin who is a doctor does. Evidentially Murray is know for regularly requesting test and procedures that have. For what ever reason, he claims he is a cardiologist, but he has not been certified by the medical board as such. He was certified in internal medicine, but research shows at one point he didn't meet the criteria of being board certified at that. I don't know if he was able to renew his license.

He has over $750K in law suits against him for not paying his bills, paying child support for casual encounters and is a walking train wreck

Although the LAPD toxicology results are not complete, but preliminary results did find Diprivan (Propofol) was the primary reason why Jackon's heart stopped beating. Law Enforcement sources say Jackson did not want people going in and out of his room on the last day he was alive, so he used Murray's bedroom when he received his IV of Propofol.

One theory, is that at some point Murray left the room while the IV was dripping and fell asleep. When he returned to the room, he saw Jackson was already dead.

I write this after more than 1 month has transpired since the brief article was written that contained virtually no facts. I will not comment my opinion of his finances. But I believe there are enough facts to conclude, regardless of who he treated, his own finances, rather than his patients' interest, were what is fueling his drive to continue being a doctor.

Strange events surrounding the charlatan Murray who called 9/11 thirty minutes after he discovered Jacksons condition. He says he waited 20 - 30 minutes to call 911 because he didn't know Jackson's address, exactly who's going to believe that one? Then it has been confirmed that old and fresh needle marks were discovered on Michael Jacksons body, "dozens" of injection sites, yet none of Michael Jacksons doctors seem to know a thing about it, strange. Also what doctor would administer CPR while the victim is still on a bed?

Sounds to me like Michael Jackson had a sleep disorder, then requested diprivan and probably had the good doctor monitoring him. Only the good doctor didn't do such a good job and probably stepped out of the room for an extended period of time.

I am agreeing with the comments here. I will say that the doctor was not a licensed cardiologist. He has $400,000 worth of claims filed against him at his vegas practice and maybe even in houston. From what I was informed he wanted MJ to sign some papers for him and MJ refused and said no he would not sign anything. This is such a twisted story. I do not understand why he left the home of MJ and could not be found for a while. I also know that someone saw him leaving out the side door with one of the large oxygen tanks and some other IV items. I beleive that someone was waiting for the Dr around the corner picked him up to get rid of the evidence and then he returned ready to talk to the police. Very fishy story line. I think the nurse that claims she was concerned should be investigated as well. NO nurse does things like that.

I think michaels doctor was their for a reason, no doctor moves in with his patient unless he is perscribing meds to him .. this is very odd.. the whole relationship with this doctor.. dont tell me people didnt see michael was abusing perscription drugs awhile back why didnt anyone step in and try to help him.. also i dont blame michael these doctors thinks they are about the law and can just jot down any meds they want to for people and then when something like this happens they all say i didnt have nothing to do with this.. they ought to have stricter laws for this..

I think Juan got it right.
I find the overwhelming supply of "Facts" disturbing. Coroner's report anyone?

Also, if the doctor was at fault, do we go forward with litigation against the doctor? Does this mean conservatives are suddenly in favor of malpractice suits?

@ Nero- I find your affirmative action comment unecessary. The doctor attended an HBCU so how could he be accepted to the medical college due to affirmative action. You are ignorant.

Anyways, Hollywood is full over prescribing physicians, that provide narcotic medications in exchange for continuing access to a celebrity's inner circle. Did we forget the case of Anna Nicole? She was prescribe over eleven medications from one doctor!

I am highly disappointed in the doctor and he supposedly is a Cardiologist! WTF?....Where were the necessary equiptment such as an AED or other medications such as antagonist drug Narcan, especially since shortly after he died it was rumored due to a Demerol injection. This doctor seems a bit shady to me. I am only a junior in Nursing school and ever since I was in high school and learned how to perform CPR I was told to make sure the patient is on a flat hard surface. ALSO, IN CPR FOR AN ADULT YOU SHOULD CALL 911 FIRST BECAUSE AN ADULT MOST LIKELY IS SUFFERING FROM CARDIAC, IN CPR FOR A CHILD YOU SHOULD START CPR THEN CALL 911 BECAUSE IT IS MOST LIKELY DUE TO RESPIRATORY....

IN REALITY DOCTORS JUST ORDER NURSES AROUND.....I have seen it plenty of times......I have witnessed a doctor not knowing how to do a EKG..let alone perform CPR....WTF....We as Nurses should be rewarded more than these so called highly trained Doctors!...This person's theory is similar to mine...............

What happened on the 25 june 2009 in seperate numbered events

1: 11:30 overdose of demerol administered

2: shortly after michael suffers sypmtons of the overdose from demerol , a heart attack and collapses onto his bed

3: the doctor tries cpr for aound 40 to 50 minutes to revive micheal, but as michael was on a bed he was un-succesfull

4: a member of staff come into the room and call's 911 and confirms that michael was on the bed and they where pumping but nothing and he wasnt responding

5: the paremedics come and want to call coroner as micheal is lifless but the doctor insists to carry on - even trying whilst on the way to ucla whilst with more qualified & trained proffesional's

6: michael is taking into ucla medical centre and basically by then the doc knows he is gone and there is no chance of revivng michaels heart.

7: doc disappear from ucla hospital possibly to get his story straight and to compose himself

8: after a few hours the doc returns to gladfully speak to police - so why disappear in the first place??

IF HE OVERDOSED MJ THEN HE SHOULD CONFESS.....HE WON'T BE THE FIRST DOCTOR TO MAKE MISTAKES....THAT IS WHY MALPRACTICE INSURANCE IS SO EXPENSIVE.......HOWEVER, IF HE IS FOUND TO HAVE OVERDOSED MJ HE WILL BE THE MOST HATED MAN IN THE WORLD FOR KILLING THE KING OF POP!....R.I.P. MICHAEL JACKSON.....GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!

Hypothesis: The Dr. did or gave Michael something that is not considered legal and he knew it. When it became clear the Michael was in trouble and possibly dying, or at the least would require hospitalization, the Dr. knew he had to "cleanup" first.

IMO, that Dr. spent time disposing or hiding evidence such as a needle directly injected into Michael or any drug used on him. THEN he called 911, because if he called 911 right away like any sane layman would know to do, it wouldn't have taken 25-30 minutes. He also tried to get the 911 respondents to continue CPR and not pronounce Michael dead at the scene merely to further hide how long he had already waited to get them there.

The mere fact that he hasn't even talked with the family at all tells you something is up with him.

Agreed, Sherry, and the mechanics of CPR aside, any doctor on staff full time who was familiar with Michael's medical and psychosocial histories (though we have yet to establish the reason for a live-in cardiologist if Michael had passed multiple physicals with flying colors in recent months), particularly one giving scheduled narcotics, would certainly have had advanced life support meds and equipment on hand or, at the very least, Narcan. I'm sure the ER docs, specialists and investigators are pretty far ahead of us on the many questions, and likely some of the answers. Otherwise, I wouldn't expect that the man who was first on the scene trying to save a life would need a full legal team 72 hours later.

A better doctor would have called 911 immediately, and if he really did know Michael's history he would have had Narcan nearby at all times! His actions smack loudly of "covering his own butt".

I'm also an Intensive Care RN. We do CPR while the patient is in bed BUT we put a backboard behind the patient's chest/back so that we can have a hard surface behind the patient to do CPR on.

Questions:
Where was the AED (defibrillater).
Where were the drugs to reverse the effect of narcotics.
Why was CPR done on the bed - too soft.
Why was there not full resus equipment available when the doctor gave such medications to MJ.
The doctor who injected MJ was responsible for his life and MJ dies - the doctor failed in his job and he did not have the necessary skills or equipment to save him. By calling himself a cardiologist and doing what he did to MJ he was negligent and by his negligence and lack of safety in deciding to inject MJ he has killed MJ.
What sort of a company are AEG to hire a Dr with such a failed and untrustworthy background.
AEG are also responsible for MJ's death for allowing such a dangerous Dr to treat him.
The insurance they make from his death is a suspicious factor.
No wonder Michael was worried about his health and life.
You can call that doctor Dr Death.
Who was looking out for Michael on that day? Who actually cared enough?
God will avenge.

MJ's father image of "get to work" was following him. That's why he was having nightmares of someone trying to murder him.

Why does one do drugs at noon?

Nire, In my life I have come across doctors who are completely irreverent to life. I guess you're either good or evil. And the evil have other agendas in being doctors. Who knows what they could be, many things.

MJ was probabally already gone when they discovered him after the fatal shot hours later. So the doctor simply pretended to do CPR to save his own butt. What really bothers me, the same way the driver of princess Diana botherd me is how can a person be so cavalier when they are handeling a GOD. The DR, had to know MJ was an addict and so the Dr had no right to believe, if this is the case, MJ hadn't taken anything else. The DR was in the presense of greatness and yet he minimalized it by not behaving on an ethical and professional leve. The end result is so cheap and belittling it makes me sick that this DR didnt take into account MJ's past, who he was and how to be his LIFE SAVING servant.

Also, I have heard the doctor referred to in the media as Conrad Robert, Conrad C., and Conrad F. First that he had a practice in Texas, then in Las Vegas, and then in California also. While the media is incredibly incompetent and sloppy, it's something to watch for.

While the promoter can’t make money the now-cancelled 50 concert, the promoter will be collecting millions from collecting on the policy taken on Michael Jackon.

The Doctor, Conrad Murray, was on the payroll of the promoter who will be collecting the millions.

The same Murray that has major financial problems.

Does that smell?

Debbie Rowe gave an interview within the last hour to News of the World, that Michael Jackson is not the real father of the kids. Brian Oxman, previous Jackson family atty, says that does not matter in a court of law at this point.

I understand that MJ just had a battery of medical tests ordered by the 50-concert promother, and MJ was pronounced very fit.

Then, the promoter got a major insurance policy on the act; that is on MJ.

While the promoter can't make money the now-cancelled concert, the promoter will collecting millions.

I wish I could sell that rental home that MJ lived in.

Ramone Bain also said long time aides being terminated, security detail was terminated. Dr. Baden said that Narcam is the drug that should have been present which is the anti-narcotic which could have counteracted the suppressing results of demerol. Yet it was not one of the drugs present on the list of drugs at Jackson's house.

This is highly suspicious. It's almost as if he didn't want him to survive. Also, how about that anti-narcotic that this doctor SHOULD have had with him when he was injecting narcotics into a patient, just in case? Something STINKS here, in the direction of the doctor and those surrounding him. One of his past close associates (I think a lawyer, female) said on Geraldo a few minutes ago that for the last approx 8 months, he had cut past people out of his life and was not allowing access, including family, and was bad-mouthing family, etc. What's up with that? Did Michael cut them off or did the people around him cut them off? Where have we seen that garbage before?

Dr's do "freeze" sometimes. I seen it once during a routine larynoscopy to get a biopsy from a tumor on a woman's tongue. The Dr, anesthesiologist, and operating room nurse were pushing her tongue into her airway while they were trying to intubate her. Her O2 level got really low, she turned purple, and was 5 seconds from a tracheostomy. Me, as a student; I was a passenger basically. I seen it all. Luckily they were able to reverse the neuro-muscular blockade drugs and get her airway reestablished. She woke up with a he## of a head ache and no one told her how close she came to death. The procedure was elective. Truth is the anesthesiologist should have aborted that attempt and re-oxygenated the patient. The OR Nurse didn't intervene, nor did the surgeon. After the patient was wheeled out of the room, they all started blaming each other and saying that "this type of procedure should be done at a level 1 trauma center", but I seen it all like a fly on the wall. The anesthesiologist knew he screwed up, the ORN should have stepped up, but didn't, and the surgeon just about needed a change of scrubs. Dr's freeze, but it's when an "incident" occurs. Especially an incident in which the Dr. was negligent or did not do what a "prudent" medical professional would have done.

The OR Nurse didn’t intervene, nor did the surgeon. After the patient was wheeled out of the room, they all started blaming each other and saying that “this type of procedure should be done at a level 1 trauma center”, but I seen it all like a fly on the wall. The anesthesiologist knew he screwed up, the ORN should have stepped up, but didn’t, and the surgeon just about needed a change of scrubs. Dr’s freeze, but it’s when an “incident” occurs. Especially an incident in which the Dr. was negligent or did not do what a “prudent” medical professional would have done.

When I heard the voice of Conrad Murray in the background of the 911 call I just felt so angry at him I wanted to scream at him, " Why did you let this happen?" Where is the nurse? Where is the defibrillator? Who's monitoring his vital signs?
Why was Dr. Murray so slow to react? Was Dr. Murray on Demerol himself?

My father in-law is 88 years old. He has had 2 open heart surgery s, prostate cancer, went into cardiac arrest twice and because of a fantastic medical team at UCLA, he is alive and independent.

As far as Doctors freezing? They don't freeze. Every one else does because they are not trained.

Let Michael Jackson rest in peace? He is resting in peace. The world is not resting in peace until we get the truth.

WHO BENEFITS THE MOST FROM MICHAEL JACKSON'S DEATH? FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL! We may find some answers.

Definitely! CPR is almost non-effective on a bed, couch, or anything soft. The compressions are meant to exert the most external pressure on the heart to force it to move blood from outside the body. I think CPR goes like this, 28 compressions in 26 seconds, or 26 compressions in 28 seconds, then 2 rescue breaths. I just got licensed in December and my CPR is up for renewal next month. Repeat this cycle like 2xs I think, look, listen, check the carotid artery in the neck and keep going until help arrives. Yea, you'd think a Cardiologist would have not only an AED, but all out defibrillator, crash cart drugs, maybe even the antagonist drug Narcan since MJ has a Hx of opiate use/abuse. Then the drugs,,, Jeez-Louise, it's not commonly used for this anymore;however, Demerol and Morphine alone can be used as anesthesia induction agents.(knock you the f*ck out and stop breathing) Mixing opiates with bezodiazepines is never a good idea. Fentanyl(opiate)+Versed(benzo)=MAC(Monitored Anesthesia Care) During this an anesthesia provider is there monitoring vitals, and also has ALL THE REVERSAL AGENTS. (Antagonist drugs/drugs that turn of other drugs quickly). This scumbag Cardiologist also owes credit card companies, child support, outstanding tickets for expired plates and no proof on car insurance from 2000, YES the YEAR 2000! This guy is a certified douche bag. I bet he's dodging police because he cannot justify giving someone with a Hx(history) of abusing opiates more and extremely powerful opiates. Michael Jackson; between his money, and the Dr. being present, I strongly doubt his sissy a55 injected himself. It sounds like that Dr. OD'ed MJ, then freaked out and tried treating him himself, now he is scared sh1tless of a manslaughter charge. Just an educated guess about all this.

I heard the 911 call......the Doctor gave no direction to the caller,
or provided any information. no excuse for this. none.
We all wonder how much time this idiot even waited to make the call...

any person with medical training has the minimal common sense to relay important medical information in a 911 call,
how long had CPR been given, was someone with him
when he first had symptoms, was it known how long he wasn't breathing?

whoever was making the call, I find it hard to believe he did not have a cordless or cell phone.....how much technology does one need? My heart goes out to Michael to have those two idiots trusted with his life.

to the nurse who made excuses for the Doctor being so negligent and downright incompetent, please leave the medical field, you are too stupid to do this line of work. I come from a family of Doctors and nurses and you sound like some of the idiots they sometimes tell horror stories about

When you are in a field where what you do determines if someone lives or dies you need to have the ability and skill to be able to make a sentence and think.

no, I was not there.
but yes, I know the Doctor could not make a sentence for a 911 call with a person possibly dead or dying, I am sure he did not have a Defribillator (was never mentioned) even though he is heart doctor caring for an underweight person who had ongoing health problems, NO EXCUSE FOR THIS!

I would like to know MS. Nurse,
if this had been your family member what you would think of
a Doctor simply taking off without a glance back?

...and Dr. Murray did just that, he took off without even leaving a contact number or relaying details of what happened.
This code of conduct is not acceptable for a Doctor,
it is expected from a criminal or guilty person, with no
social responsibilty, morals, ethics or decency.

I am just amazed that this so called "Doctor" made no efforts to contact family or relay information regarding what happend
...in fact he took off so fast he did not return to get his car.

*... Doctor Murray demanded the medical paramedics to keep working on him, and delay pronouncing him dead.

Now we all would support doing everything possible to try to save Michael, but the way it went down with this Doctor felt more like he wanted someone else to be responsible.

Dr. Murray simply disappears....
makes you wonder if he was trying to buy some time,
He could have been intoxicated or on drugs himself for all we know. The Los Angeles police really showed their incompetence by not investigating him immediatly, and then ensuring he did not leave the city.

no matter how you look at this, Doctor Murray should lose his license, and I believe he is responsible for Michael losing his life.
Dr. Murray lived in the house, and he could not see Michael was
in distress until he collapsed??????

this man does not deserve to live.

I understand your point on not jumping to conclusions without all the facts, Matt, but I'm also a nurse and, having coded my share of patients and in medical facilities we've always used backboards. In home situations the floor is typically used, not a bed. That point aside, there were several questionable moments in the two minutes of exchange during that 911 call that the investigators probably know a lot more about than we do at this point.
