Top Unconservative Things Contest… Submit Now!

May 19, 2009 · By Greg Farries

The “Top Ten Unconservative Things the Conservative Party of Canada Has Done” contest is picking up steam. Over the past few days, hundreds of individual submissions have been received and I’m looking forward to more.

The contest ends in less than a week (Monday May 25), so get your submissions in as soon as possible! Thanks to all of you who have already submitted your list and good luck on winning the book.

Note: This post will remain on the top of postings until the contest ends.

Hundreds? really… You make me think of the kid that tries to change a D on his report card to an A instead of a B.
Dozens of submissions would have been believable at least:)

I wonder how many dim conservatives have ragged on you about this competition by now. I realize the more intelligent ones understand your point but it’s amusing to see the “How dare you accuse our government of not being conservative” post in the other thread.

The conservatives are exercising non-conservative policy because they realize that we live in a country with a voting populace that is a majority conservative.

    Politics first, policy second.

It’s shame there’s no edit functionality.
I meant to say the populace is not conservative by majority.

    Oh well.

The left-right political spectrum is exhausted and to carry on in that vein is fraudulent. The necessity to be for European Man is absolute, it is all; therefore any attempt to relativise that within the confines of an artificially constructed range of enforced political discourse is anathema. All that is debated is just so much trivia but that could be decided by a simple standard: Does it tend to enhance or diminish the life of our people?

Got something to say? (Read the rules first)
