According to Vancouver’s All-News Station, Global Warming causes PCPs and Mercury Contamination!

Hey, Shane here. Sorry I’ve been gone so long. I haven’t been outraged in a while.
Trust the Vancouver all-newss station, News 1130 to change that for me this morning.
I’ve had a long history of outrage with this station, from their blatant partisan reporting against the Conservatives to many other stories I’ve had exception with.
But this latest global warming fearmongering was self-contradictory in its very text! I had to share it with you.
So one of the lead stories they repeat every 15 minutes for hours was on our good friend global warming. Or was it?
They led with “Researchers in the Arctic are working on studying global warming through the tusks of walruses and jawbones of beluga whales.” Sounds plausible.
Then they reveal what they are studying about those bones and tusks – turns out they are looking for mercury and PCP’s.
Last I checked, neither of those pollutants are greenhouse gases, nor do they have anything to do with greenhouse gases.
What were they hoping to acheive? Well the news story itself says they wanted to inform the Inuit people of the north who still subsist on the meat of such animals, of the presence of toxins so they can plan accordingly.
What the HECK does that have to do with Global Warming?
But according to News 1130, ANYTHING that happens in the environment is connected to global warming.
Or maybe they think nobody will care about Inuit people poisoning themselves on industrial pollutants unless Global Warming is involved somehow.
Whichever it is, some of the shoddiest news reporting continues to be spouted by Vancouver’s own News 1130.

If they are so worried about mercury poisoning they should do a piece about these mercury filled, toxic curly light bulbs that are being pushed down our throats, with no way of getting rid of them
LOL! Excellent point Mr. Pissedoff.
