Instead of hi-jacking the thread and bringing up prefab posts like that global warming one, we could probably talk about Ignatief as Liberal leader and what the implications are.

For the Liberals, I think it’s going to be more of the same. Ignatief is both a gaffe machine and an elitist. I don’t think he stands a chance debating any of the major party leaders.
However, as stated, based on image alone and style points, if the budget fails and an election were called, the Liberals might win back some seats.

If Harper doesn’t take a step or two closer to the center, he’ll never get that majority. You can’t change the country you live in. You need to be in tune with your voting public and not everyone is far to the right. I guess Dion learned not everyone was far left:)

Wilson! Good point! There is something to say about stability in leadership and Harper has stayed the course.

Werner! I agree totally. The global whiners do nothing but cost us even more money with their stupid programs: programs that do zilch in the grand scheme of things because THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS ANTHROPOGENIC CLIMATE CHANGE.

Suzuki, Gwynne Dyer and the Toronto Red Star are constantly screeching at us about the big lie that is climate change and between them and Al Fatty Gore, they are laughing at us all the way to the bank for being so stupid to believe such a hoax. Tell everyone you know: global warming, climate change, whatever they call it (they have to keep changing its name because their theories are constantly proven wrong) is a lie.

This country is a fiscal mess, and a real horror for anyone who actually wants to work for a living, rather than sitting back and collecting welfare payments (like one well-known blogger out in Ontario who runs a blog and an aggregator but refuses to work).

It is mainly for this reason that we cannot allow the Liberals to get back into power. This country needs to lower its income taxes substantially (it’s against human rights for households to spend 45% of their annual income on taxes, but this is the current situation in Canada).

I agree: most of the crisis stuff is exaggerated by the media and the radical left (like global warming). They use it to push their radical leftwing agenda (as they do with global warming).

The Libs will put Iggy at the helm of the party because he looks good and all the liberal idiots will vote for him…….because he looks good. They will not give two hoots about his damaging policies of taxing us to death. Those on the left will happily sit at home on their butts collecting the government handouts they “feel” they deserve while the rest of us work our butts off to pay, pay, pay.

The “economic crisis” which the media loves to flaunt and cheer has largely been manufactured by the media. They just love to sensationalize a time of economic weakness with words like “crisis” and “meltdown”.
