One Liberal who Forgot his Crazy Pills Today

Let me get this straight.
A liberal representative tells a tasteless (and unoriginal) joke about the Conservative Prime Minister and his wife dying in a plane crash.
Then when the fact that this first Liberal had the bad taste to tell this joke hits the media and is held accountable for his tastelessness, another Liberal steps up and claims the fact that the first Liberal told a tasteless joke and someone noticed is in fact a super secret smear campaign, designed to discredit the Liberals by those dirty dog Conservatives who obviously hate everyone and must say many worse things behind closed doors, but are trying to entrap the otherwise noble Liberals, who care about everyone equally except for Conservatives – who are obviously sub-human. It is perfectly permissible to assume the worst of Conservatives, mock, revile and make tasteless jokes about them in public.
Because they obviously deserve it.
Has there been any movement on this story? I was following it last week.
Do you know if Cornelius has personally apologized yet to the PM?
