The Real Morgentaler Scandal

July 2, 2008 · By

Four national newspaper chains, a bunch of chatty heads and literally hundreds of blogs and still, we seem to have all missed the boat on this one. Regardless of whether you see the new Order of Canada recipient as a mass-murderer or human rights crusader, the history doesn’t lie: Dr. Henry Morgentaler broke the law of the land, and was charged for it twice (in 1970 and in 1983). While he was acquitted the first time, it took a Supreme Court ruling to spare him from serving his full sentence. Now, before all of you pro-abortionists go ahead and disregard this as an evolution in our sensibilities, the law, or just the abortion lobby’s face-saving abilities, I should remind you to think about what you are endorsing. While the 1980s saw the social pendulum swing your way, the pandora’s box of contextual laws and rights can just as easily favour, say, a “crusader” like James Kopp who trashes our murder laws, but does so in order to stop other murders, or with rogue doctors who ignore the Canada Health Act and charge patients for their services, or companies who have strict hiring practices against gays. Yes, these ideas seem remote right now, but that’s the funny thing about trends — they change. At least if we still had a respect for the rule of law in this land, good intentions would not be an excuse that could be held up in the face of a blatant disrespect and disregard for the tools through which our society keeps its stability. I’m not even saying that Morgentaler is necessarily morally wrong just for breaking the law (although I personally believe he is), but rather that it’s a pretty sad day when the government rewards one of its citizens for so publicly snubbing it. Buller?

    A criminal conviction was enough to get Alan Eagleson to be removed from the order so why was Morgentaler even considered?

    Of note only 2 people have been removed from the Order of Canada; Eagleson, and David Ahenakew. Ahenakew lost his Order but won his appeal for the hate speech conviction.

    Another interesting tidbit, Beverley McLachlin abstained on the vote to remove Ahenakew, but saw fit to over rule the tradition of having only unanimous consent for approval to the Order in the Morgentaler case.

    BTW Conrad Black is up for review of his order once his appeals run out.

    What fun we can have with shiny baubles.

    Dear Henry was on record in 2005 as stating that the crime rate is down because the poor helped stop creating criminals by the free Abortions , he even went as far and saying that Blacks in Public Housing were given access and this stopped them from giving birth to criminals.

    For this he gets a Medal , and sadly the GG is a Black female that isn’t a criminal and has a lovely daughter that’s not a criminal .
    Also , gender-abortions are becoming the norm for cultural reasons while females still make up the majority of babies.
    Ergo….females are killing more females than any abusive males could and now a White male Abortionist will shake the hand of a Black female that didn’t live in Public housing and on welfare.

    Where does the information about the actual voting come from. If true, our Chief Justice must step down

    Google her name for news stories, you can find the unanimous story there and the abstention on Ahenakew to recall his order came from wiki.

    Wide is the way that leads to Destruction and Many there be that go thereby, because Straight is the Way, and Narrow is the Gate, that leads to Life, and few there be that find it.

    How can Canada criticize and condemn Mugabe and Al Qaeda and then honor a savage freak who has caused the slaughter of millions of innocent babies?. Think of all the truly wonderful people who died in the holocaust, and somehow Canada ended up with a baby slaughtering terrorists.

    All Canadians must make it unambiguous to our affirmative action, extreme left-wing bimble who lives in the Governor General’s mansion, and the other affirmative action, far-left bimble on the Supreme Court that they can not unilaterally affect the values of civilized Canadians who don’t revere murderers who butcher blameless living babies.

    Roger:
    ” he even went as far and saying that Blacks in Public Housing were given access and this stopped them from giving birth to criminals.”

    He actually said this? I’m not doubting you, but do you have a reference to this quote? I’d love to see that publicized some more.

    Real scandal is the fact that Dr. Henry Morgentaler obtained his license to practice medicine in Canada by fraud and deception as he falsly claimed (and he received) academic credits for medical studies in Europe that he never never completed.

    Please read biography of Chava Rosenfarb (Dr. Hanry Morgentaler’s first wife) written by Goldie Morgentaler, Dr. Henry Morgentaler’s daughter and published by “Jewish Women: A Comprehensive Historical Encyclopedia” at:

    http://jwa.org/encyclopedia/ar.....farb-chava

    Quote;

    “In 1945, Rosenfarb, together with her mother and sister, crossed the border illegally into Belgium, where she lived as a Displaced Person until her marriage in 1949 to Henry Morgentaler (b. 1923), another Holocaust survivor. The couple immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1950, and it was there that Rosenfarb did most of her writing. She had two children, Goldie and Abraham (b. 1956) with Henry Morgentaler, who earned his medical degree in 1956 and was subsequently instrumental in changing the Canadian abortion laws.”

    =====

    According to Dr. Henry Morgentaler own daughter Goldie, Morgentaler’s family arrived in Canada in 1950 and Dr. Morgentaler “EARNED” his medical degree in 1956 and that would make perrfect sense if it was true as it takes 6 years of medical studies in order to get such degree.

    Why is it than that Dr. Henry Morgentaler in all of his submissions to all organisations regulating medcal professions claims that he graduated from medical school (University of Montreal) in 1953.
