Julie Couillard was a brothel madame in Montreal

A former immigration councilor insists that Julie Coulliard operated two brothels in Montreal where the prostitutes were young immigrant women. She also stated that Couillard was once a stripper herself.
This is all over the French language news but not a word among English Canada. Maybe Anglophones are bored of this story or maybe they are too prudish? Who knows?

I have not been able to find any written online support of this but the radio broadcast says that these brothels serviced businessmen, diplomats and politicians.
How does an ex madame,ex stripper,unregistered lobbiest with ties to organized crime get security clearance to meet the President of the United States?Looks like the ball was drooped on both sides of the border!

I am the conseller whom made these declarations, and it is unfortunatly true to say that no newspaper aired the story, not only the english ones but also the french ones.
The reasons: Denis Coderre and Stockwell Day sent some mises en demeure to Radio-Canada and CBC, and, Paul Desmarais from Power Corporation made clear with the Journal la Presse that this story would never be published.

have you contacted any other paper with this story Miss Montpetit ? That’s a ”hell” of a story you got there…I don’t see why it should not be published if it’s true…

Unfortunatly, La Presse did want to publish the story, but Paul Desmarais (the Owner) said no to it.
Samething for CBC, they have all the necessary proofs but were denied to air the story par Jean Pelletier ( son of Gerald Pelletier les trois colombes)

Julie was never a stripper, she was a waitress.
I don’t know about the madame part but I would be very very surprised. Julie is a product of Quebec’s society so before we try to stone her let’s all live a little more morally and in a few generations our country wouldn’t have to deal with these issues any more!
