Indiana Jones and the Cold War

You can thank George Lucas and Steven Spielberg for causing another Cold War between the Americans and the Russians:

The Associated Press news agency quoted Moscow Communist official Andrei Andreyev as saying: “It is very disturbing if talented directors want to provoke a new Cold War.”

Who knew … funny these communists apparently haven’t been listening to the sabre rattling rhetoric from Comrade Putin lately.

It’s a movie! A work of fiction! Is the whole world suffering from the same brain cramp as we in North America? Why on earth anyone gets so cranked up over stuff like this, whether it be Tom Clancey’s latest novel or the Golden Compass, is beyond me. You would think these works of imagination actually had some relevance in the real world.

Got something to say?
