Muslims Against Sharia responds in kind

January 13, 2008 · By Marsilio Facino

Normally we do not reply in length to articles about us, but the author of this item must have put a lot of time into his piece, so the least we can do is to write a response.

In case the author realizes that our reply made him look like an idiot, which demagogues usually are, and changes the contents of the article, we took screenshots.

Read the whole thing.

Leftards jumping to the defence of fellow fascists. Fools.

I’m more leaning toward an open mind. Stageleft has raised some interesting questions, and Muslims Against Sharia has not had answers of legitimate response. It would be a disservice to moderate Islam if this site was a forgery of Muslim sentiment.

I read the whole thing. Pretty hilarious attempt to cover their asses.

So here we have a website written by Atlas Shrugged (passionate anti-Islamist), the Israpundit (passionate Anti Islamist), dismissed Fox ex-reporters, and unspecified others, pretending to be Muslims.

There are NO Muslims actually identified with the organization, and the writer (who sounds on the stageleft site like a teenage right wing troll) refuses to say anything about the organzation’s management, membership or Board.

Meanwhile they’re editing the Koran online to take out the bits they don’t like, and hosting a blog that’s virulently anti Muslim.

Marsilio…can you say with a straight face you actually believe that site is for real? Seriously??

Muslims against Sharia commented on my blog once. Here

I just read the latest response at Stageleft to “Muslims Against Sharia”.

At issue is the actual nature of this organization - whether it is, in fact, an organization of Muslims. To that end, Stageleft asked for a description their membership and governance structure. This is, after all, an organization that is soliciting donations online.

The answer from the alleged organization: “What part of ‘none of your business’ don’t you understand”?

Yup, that sounds like a credible not-for profit organization operating in good faith.

    Still wondering, Marsilio.

Do you still think this organization is for real, in light of the fact that they seem virulently anti Muslim, feature a number of established anti-Muslim columnists, refuse to provide any information about their membership, management, or governance, cannot identify ANY Muslims associated with their organization, and are engaged in a project that virtually any Muslim will find offensive (i.e., the bowderlizing of the Koran)?

I’ve seen nothing yet to indicate that they aren’t for real. I also assume aka Salman Rushdie that anyone Muslim who proposes altering the Quran is very wise to wish to remain pseudonymous.

Having dealt with foreign speaking engineers and scientists, the fellow’s English diction and grammar also ring true.

But far be it for me to interfere with your categorical imperative to help Muslim Literalists preserve the integrity of the Quran. And, if you prefer to encourage the perception that there are no Moderate Muslims that can make common cause with the rest of us, then, hey, so be it.

Perhaps you could start a thread about prominent Darwinist Muslim scientists?

    TTFN,
    Mars.

    Crazy is as crazy does.

How’s that flat earth of yours coming?

“I’ve seen nothing yet to indicate that they aren’t for real.”

Really? The fact that they identify as affiliates several prominent ANTI Muslims, by name, but NO Muslims, doesn’t suggest anything is at all amiss?

“Having dealt with foreign speaking engineers and scientists, the fellow’s English diction and grammar also ring true.”

Really? Here’s a quote : “I love it when degenerates like McClelland or balbulican lecture about tolerance, but it shows how full of shit they are when they refuse to accept anything that does not fit their demented stereotypes.” Or how about…” Somehow, Marsilio, when the thoughful Muslim scholar masks slip a bit, doesn’t the tone and content begin to bear an odd resemblance to your common or garden variety neo-con troll? Just sayin’…

So how would you, as Christian, respond to an initiative from a group of people who:
    - claimed to be Christian, but refused to provide you with any evidence
    - run a website which says virtually nothing positive about Christianity, but uncritically reproduces pretty much anti-Christian cliche extant
    - solicits your money without telling you anything about their organization, and
    - opens the Bible for editing, to remove bits that the anonymous authors think God didn’t intend to be there?

Come on. Playing rhetorical games for the Politic Peanut Gallery is one thing. Don’t expect me to believe you actually swallow this nonsense.

I’m certain that due to your fine forensic efforts along with these guys (see below) you will get the reward that you have worked so hard for.

Give my regards to Inspector Clouseau. By the way be sure to check out Muslims *with* Sharia blog run by the folks below.

A simple “I was wrong” will be adequate, Marsilio.

    Heh. Yeah. That’ll happen.

  12. dalton on January 15th, 2008 12:26 pm [#]

Actually, thanks for the link. I suggest everyone who’s curious about the folks Marsilio admires should read the comments. It was pretty funny. “Muslims Against Sharia” come across pretty much exactly as they do elsewhere - like Muslim-baiting, neocon trolls tryhing to pick a fight.

Say, Marsilio…LawIsCool, an excellent and very thoughtful website on Canadian law and legal issues, has just concluded that “Muslims Against Sharia” is a fraud too.

Did you want to reconsider your endorsement?

“…LawIsCool, an excellent and very thoughtful website on Canadian law and legal issues,”

Were you trying to get a laugh? If so, well done.

  15. dalton on January 15th, 2008 7:37 pm [#]

Oh, hi, Aaron. Still got that substance abuse problem, I see…still no substance?

What works really well, I find, is when you do those really great one-liner threads that no-one responds to. Why don’t you go away now and start another one of those?

Say, Marsilio…you know how you said that “Having dealt with foreign speaking engineers and scientists, the fellow’s English diction and grammar also ring true.”

I gotta tell you, those are some pretty vulgar “foreign speaking engineers and scientists” you’ve been hanging with. Did they all say stuff like “If you beat your wife only on odd days and suck your cousin’s ass only on even days, it doesn’t make you a liberal”? That’s Muslims Against Sharia, dude. Don’t sound much like the kind of scholars I’d expect to be rewriting God’s revelation, but hey, you’re the theologian. You know best.

    “LawIsCool”

I’ll leave it up to them to contact Front Page Magazine and break the news to them. Given how well they’ve handled Mark Steyn, I’m sure they can tag team with BCL and show them how its done.
