And it does a fine job doing that. Within that context it is a fine newspaper. As a Conservative, though, you can possibly expect to have your views given equal billing. In many ways, however, the star is more honest than most papers. It is liberal and upfront about it. It is part of the Toronto Star’s fouding charter that its purpose is to advance the cause of liberalism in Canada. And it does a fine job doing that. Within that context it is a fine newspaper.
