Thanks to the fall fiscal update, I might be able to afford some Christmas gifts for loved one this year…well, on top of the ones that our government gives to people who are far less deserving on my behalf, whether I like it or not!

Hey Matthew, before you get all happy, read the post I just wrote in Aaron’s retarded post on the GST. You would be better to ask for a cut in income taxes than a cut in GST. DO THE MATH.
You’re missing my point; I’m not arguing that the GST is a brilliant move (although I believe it is financially in that it will help the Tories get the majority they need to bring in the tax reforms we badly need). Rather, why do those three yahoos I link to deserve my money more than I do?
