The Jena Six: A Picture of Perfect Virtue
September 26, 2007 · By Aaron Unruh
Phrases like “stomped him badly,” “stepped on his face,” “knocked out cold on the ground,” and “slammed his head on the concrete beam” were used by the students in their statements [describing the virtuous Jena Six in action].

I am not sure what the point of this post is.
The point being that we can’t prosecute thugs and criminals as soon as they start hiding behind the colour of their skin.
Not only is there almost no coverage in the corporate media of black violent crimes against white people, but in high profile cases, they proffer black criminals as ‘real victims’.
To illustrate the bias in the corporate media, imagine if the facts were reversed - if a gang of six white kids led by someone with four previous convictions for violent-crime had attacked a lone black student, kicking and stomping him into unconsciousness. As far as the corporate media are concerned, they would be interviewing the black victim on every TV talk show across the land, discussing his fear, his pain, his suffering. They would be interviewing his crying relatives and friends. They would not be voicing any fear that the white attackers would be treated too harshly, or that they would be treated at all. The attackers would not be celebrated in the dailies and across the TV networks.
Oh, ok, now I get the point. It would have been nice if there was some explanation behind the little star.
Was the beating victim one of the men that had strung nooses up and antagonized the defendants prior to the assault?
Would it make a difference?
A valid question. Not sure I know the answer, really.
If it were a gaggle of skinheads publicly taunting/threatening a group of Jewish men with ovens and SOD armbands, how then would we might view the same outcome?
Did the nooses, and whatever else went on, constitute a legitimate threat of physical harm, and/or pass any reasonable threshold of moral restraint?
hmmm interesting this, so if a country lead by a gaggle of Islamic screwballs threatens a country of Jewish men and women with nuclear obliteration, how then might we view the same outcome?
Does the building of a nuclear facility and whatever else is going on constitute a legitimate threat of a nuclear haulocast amd/or pass any reasonable threshold of moral restraint?
So to unpack that… er… “analogy” a little more - based on the original post - it is reasonable to conclude that the like-minds would actually condemn the notion of a face-stomping of Iran?
Or is it the other way around?
Or is it an unreasonable, unrealistic, and dishonest analogy?
AFTER THOUGHT - Mind you, if the group of men that strung the nooses had sent a proposal to the black men, offering to stop hanging nooses (and any other racist behavior) and engage only in the hanging of tire swings - under the full supervision of the black men - and that same group of black men completely rejected that offer claiming they don’t “negotiate with evil”… well then we’d all be on the same page I imagine… right?
“If it were a gaggle of skinheads publicly taunting/threatening a group of Jewish men with ovens and SOD armbands, how then would we might view the same outcome?”
But it wasn’t. There’s no evidence that the victim was involved in the hanging of those nooses. Furthermore, how could he have taunted the six black teenagers to have deserved such a brutal and sustained assault? Did you read the excerpt? We’re talking about six men kicking the head of an unconscious person. In what dimension is it possible to condone this, even if we were talking about a “gaggle of skinheads”?
I’m all for being contrary, but give me a break.
I imagine I can only come back to my question
“Did the nooses, and whatever else went on, constitute a legitimate threat of physical harm, and/or pass any reasonable threshold of moral restraint?”
When I think of moral restraint, I recall that people - human beings - Americans, were hanged by other Americans in just the last few decades for the crime of being black.
Not sure where “picture of perfect virtue” is derived from, but I surmise it makes sense if we only see things as black or white.
