Join the Writing Team at ThePolitic.com!

August 28, 2007 · By Greg Farries

In an effort to expand ThePolitic’s scope and coverage of Canadian and world politics, we are looking for more writers to contribute to the following topics/areas:

* Canadian Politics (National and Provincial)
* US Politics
* Middle Eastern / Israeli Politics

We are particularly interested in attracting contributors with insight in provincial politics of Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and Ontario.

If you’re interested, please contact us. Prior experience writing for the Internet (or weblogs) isn’t required, but strongly encouraged. Please include your name, contact information and any relevant writing examples.

Also note, we will not be accepting any candidates who intend to cross-post between multiple weblogs - contributed material must be original. However, writers will retain copyright and ownership of contributed materials.

If you have any questions and or you want to apply, please contact Greg Farries.

Yeah, someone who doesn’t write about gay gay gay all the time would be nice. Maybe someone with insite into federal/provincial budgets, and actual policy related questions would be most welcome. I would say pick me, but then, there would be an exodus.

Please note that Greg didn’t mention he wanted contributors to write about Jesus all of the time either.

    You flatter yourself.

Why don’t you put your big money where your big mouth is and start writing here? I’m sure that the site would benefit enormously from your in-depth knowledge of budgets and public policy questions.

Well, if Greg would have me, then sure. Are you advocating for me being a writer, or just being your regular jerky self?

Then write Greg and ask him if you can write here. How hard is this? I’m not asking you to marry me.

StE, put forth a “proposal” (heh heh) on why you would be a worthwhile addition to ThePolitic. I think this would be a marriage made in heaven, you and ThePolitic that is.

We’re still waiting for you to actually write something Aaron, rather than show us how adept a web surfer and cut and paster you are. We do however already know that you have a big mouth.

I did in the past, and he suggested that maybe I would be better suited to a different web blog.

I’m not against the idea at all - in fact, awhile back I was considering inviting writers (perhaps recruiting some of the regular commenters) to guest blog for a month.

Got something to say?
