Dion’s Mystical Source

August 19, 2007 · By Aaron Unruh

This gets funnier and funnier:

“From my vantage point, I have never heard or seen of such a proposal and I do not believe there is one. I don’t think that’s accurate,” [Wilkins said in an interview yesterday.

And Harper aide Sandra Buckler yesterday repeated her denials from the day before, saying the government “has no intention of entering into negotiations on bulk water exports.

“It’s not on the agenda. Period,” Buckler said in an email.

But asked about those denials, Dion all but accused the Prime Minister’s office of lying.

“I don’t believe the government. I believe there are secret negotiations. We want to an end to these negotiations,” he said.

“We have information that these discussions are going on,” he said, refusing to make public his sources.

Hmmmmmm. Sources, eh?

You are thinking of Ronald Reagan using fortune tellers during his time in office .

So are you saying Dion is another Reagan???

His source is the CBC of course.

Dion insisted that the Prime Minister publicly state there were no negotiations blah blah … But of course Harper himself won’t respond to Dion’s demands. And not even Cabinet Ministers should stoop so low.

But Pierre Poilievre, a Parliamentary Secretary, is about right. And hopefully Pierre will find a way to insult the Liberals, like he did back in February when he claimed the Libs were pandering to extremist members within their ranks.

The Libs demanded an apology, which they didn’t get. So C’mon Pierre, push the envelope here somehow. There’s a lot of entertainment value left in this whole thing.

This is so stupid. Like Polievre, et al are going to tell you the truth.

    You people are so gullible.

Is Polievre wearing long pants yet? He’s truly an idiot.

We need adults in government - desparately.

Besides - I doubt they’d let Polievre in on the details and secrets.

Give your foolish heads a shake.

Man, I wish I could get away with accusing someone of making evil, evil plans in secret of everyone in public without much repercussion, citing magic, unknown sources that I won’t divulge as my only possible evidence. WITCH!

    Dion won’t divulge his ’source’.
Dion is good at keeping secrets.
Dion won’t tell us who were the 12 (Quebec) Liberal candidates that Cote slipped stolen taxpayers money to, $125,000 in $100 bills.

‘Is Polievre wearing long pants yet?’
Gee Sam, he’s an elected MP, and you are a …blogger.

Agree with CJ, Pierre on Dion are on the same level, give ‘em hell Pierre!

Dion caught in a lie on tape !

For those who haven’t heard Dion’s entire SPP press conference, you can view it here.

At just before the 19 minute mark, Dion is answering a question about whether he wants more integration with the U.S. or not:

“… he [Harper] said that we would have seven years of truce about Softwood Lumber … in fact after seven months we are back to litigation …this is not a good news …”

Wrong. There is no litigation. Nothing is going to court.

The Americans are challenging us on something, and that dispute is going to be resolved via the dipute resolution mechanism. This mechanism was put in place during last year’s negotiations.

Perhaps Dion’s been channelling William Lyon MacKenzie King

Got something to say?
