Balbulican, I think we can all agree that variations etc. aside, the Sun is responsible for the warming of Mars therefore, it must be responsible for the warming on Earth. Would this not at least explain how the Ice Ages came and went, due to natural fluctuations of the Suns energy and not SUV’s or Farting Dinosaurs?

Luke, if you’re going to try the wry mock superiority gambit, at least do it with a bit of originality, would you?

As for what I suppose I should refer to as the “substance” of your post (given that antonym for “substance” does not spring readily to mind) – the article cited ascribed the warming to regional variation in the incidence of radiation, not to a net increase. Perhaps you should ask the editors for the pictures you so generously offered.

You appear to have missed the point. Let me break it down for you.

There is the theory that the Earth is being warmed by the sun, not CO2.

If that were true, other planets would be warming as well, since we share a sun.

Other planets are warming as well. This means at least part of global warming is being caused by the sun.

I’m sorry if some of these words are too big for you. I’ll try to include pictures next time.
