Dion sides with American over a Canadian Minister

First the Taliban, now Al Gore.
Not to conform my posts to Tory talking points, but would a real leader condone and approve of any foreigner, let alone an American, meddling in Canada’s internal affairs in this manner?
If Harper delivered a speech on Canadian autonomy, Dion would come out in favour of Manifest Destiny.
The only problem is, aside from the Tory true believers, the vast majority of people like and trust Gore and dislike and mistrust Harper. Gore should butt out of our business. We do have enough powerful critics of our own, but you can’t escape the fact that Gore is credible (again to everyone but Fox News viewers) on the environment and Harper is not. Also, a party so identified with toadying to the Republican party wrapping itself up in the Canadian flag to ward off the “evil Americans” is just too funny for words.
A real leader would point out the obvious flaws in a plan put forth by the opposition, on an issue that is gaining momentum across the country. If that means siding with a foreign environmentalist over the prime minister of his own country, then so be it. Gore’s name carries environmental credibility, even in Canada. Harper and Baird do not.
