Al Gore: Messing with Minister Baird
April 28, 2007 · By Aaron Unruh
What was the environmental record of everyone’s favourite environmentalist like when he was vice-president anyway? Turns out that the Conservatives’ current plan will do more to reduce emissions than the Clinton-Gore administration ever did:
“It is difficult to accept criticism from someone who preaches about climate change, but who never submitted the Kyoto Protocol to a vote in the United States Senate (and) who never did as much as Canada is now doing to fight climate change during eight years in office.”

I totally agree with you! Al Gore has no right to criticize Canadian Policies. See the comment I made about that on my blog: http://fiveroad.blogspot.com

Take a gander at Gore’s own environmental record–what a disgrace. Why anyone pays attention to this man is a mystery to me.
“I really resent anyone from the U.S. telling us how to run our country.”
I love how Liberals appreciate the involvement of American Gore in our internal affairs yet go insane when they suspect that American evangelicals are somehow getting involved.
Could anyone fathom the hullabaloo that would ensue if say (if he were still alive) the “Great Communicator” said Canada doesn’t need and shouldn’t be saddled with the Kyoto Accord - Mansbridge would sprout hair, Walkom, Travers, Suzuki etc. would be apoplectic defending our “Special Canadian Values”, sheeeeesh!
I felt that Baird showed great restraint in his comments about Al Gore. If it had of been me I would have called him for the AS he is and make it clear he is not welcome in Canada

I wonder how many of the Millions that this has put in Al Gores controll has or will be invested in anything that will actually do something to reduce green house gas production ?
