Says who? The author? BM itself says that the LBGT marriage movement is focusing on SSM marriage only, thus the purpose for this group.

He's talking about the states. Although the author is (still) trying to tie this to polygamy specifically, consider the cohabitation laws (or rather laws PROHIBITING cohabitation) in the US. They're miles behind Canada. That's also, btw, what Rauch was referring to (which Kurtz takes as an "ah-ha!" moment).

Nevertheless, it's a brave new world, isn't it? Beyond SSM, the lobby to combat traditional marriage as anything beyond a single partner will make for some strange bedfellows.</description>
