How to Integrate Muslims into Canadian Society

Why is Little Mosque on its way out? Because it’s not really funny.* Why is it not funny? Because the CBC gave a creative veto the planet’s most perpetually-offended peoples:
“The CBC has hired a consultant and worked with several Imams to ensure there is nothing in the show Muslims might find offensive…”
Unfortunately, the CBC consultant did not work in a similar manner with any residents of rural Saskatchewan. It took the show roughly two minutes to portray that particular demographic as a pack of backwater jerks.
Anyway, how to integrate Muslims into Canadian society? Easy. Give them a character to identify with on Corner Gas. It will be only a matter of weeks before the bland, easy-going quality of Canadian life portrayed in that show permeates their souls. Soon, they’ll be walking the streets of London wearing plaid caps and greeting their spouses with, “Hey how’s it goin?”
*This is not entirely true. The security guard’s line “You’re not going to paradise today” was a very clever double entendre since it referred to heavenly paradise and, in a manner that we can all agree is highly ironic, Saskatchewan as paradise.
I joked on a forum that the CBC should name it “Corner Gaza” and make it Palestinians that take gas profits to funnel to Hamas while all those redneck Yahoo’s boycott the Station that has a team of RCMP’s protecting it under a SCOC order as Free-expression and a Charter Right for religion.
At least when the suicide bombers completely destroy the ‘Corner Gaza’ Station and all the cast in the 1st episode is wiped out the CBC won’t have to hide behind a poor PR release for the ratings.

If only more Moslems would read blogs like this one, they’d understand how enlightened and tolerant Canadians (especially biblical literalists) really are.

Exactly! But, really, could they issue their fatwas proclaiming death to the infidel fast enough?
You know they might get out shuffled in the blogosphere, contrary to Canadian values of tolerance and equality.
Maybe the Canadian government can give them multicultural grant funding to get them up to speed.
