Public Disembowelment

November 1, 2006 · By Aaron Unruh

I can think of no other way to describe this opinion piece. Dalton, you are owned!

The most sensible excerpt on Dalton cynical attempt to wring money out of the federal government to subsidize their own cowardice on the Caledonia file:

When readers are deciding who is ultimately responsible for the Caledonia file, they should ask themselves the following question: Should Prime Minister Harper be expected to pay for things he had no say in approving, such as the cost of purchasing the occupied land, the cost of keeping the occupiers’ hydro and water running, the cost of the business compensation package and the $1,500 per day negotiating fee paid to Jane Stewart, a former federal Liberal cabinet minister?

Dolton is simply admitting that Ontario is a failed state that doesn’t have the leadership to enforce the law, that’s all.

Dolton is appealing to a real leader to take over and deal with the issue - which must be hard to do for the premier of Canada’s largest province!

But it’s good that he is at least opening up about his massive failures, he’s becoming a true Liberal by accepting the fact that he’s a moron.

Because of a lack of enough people in government with a first rate education, this is the quagmire they get stuck in.

Something Dolton doesn’t seem to understand is leaders need to lead, not react.
Dolton is very adept at reacting to public op polls, back-tracking, and flip-flopping, and then banning something.
The continued voting in of Liberal governments only underscores the stupidity of the Ontario & Canadian electorate.

One could say the same as Harper and his recent realization that the environment is an issue.

Bob - I’m not a huge fan of his, but I do think Harper is a leader. True, they’ve fumbled on the enviroment portfolio, but let’s face it, Kyoto is a joke.
Maybe he just wanted to throw Rona to the tree-hugger wolves.

Got something to say?
