Pedophile Banished to Canada

A former school teacher convicted of having sex with a 15-year-old student has been ordered by a judge to leave the United States for the next three years, returning only to meet with his probation officer.
Malcolm Watson, 35, agreed to the sentence to avoid as much as a year in jail after pleading guilty to endangering a child and third-degree sexual abuse — both misdemeanors.
Watson, a former teacher at the Buffalo Seminary, is a U.S. citizen who already lives in Fort Erie, Ontario, with his Canadian wife and three children. He was arrested in April after a mall security guard noticed the pair sitting in a parked car for two hours.
We don’t want him, Canadian Officials should throw this scumbag back into the states. How did he even get into the country?
But Smukler concluded that Canadian officials would be unlikely to act because Watson’s crimes were the least serious form of sex offense.
Apparently Canada’s leniency on sexual predators knows no boundaries. This guy should feel right at home - thanks to our pathetic age of consent laws, grown men can have sex with 14 year old girls without fear of prosecution.

I don’t think we should take him either, regardless of any age of consent considerations there is a breach of trust issue that is just plain wrong.
The unfortunate thing is that our government may bluster somewhat, create a few sound bites for the media, and then do nothing.
