More Alberta on Our Highways
September 2, 2006 · By kaqchikel
Could this be a small beginning to having more Alberta and less Ottawa on our provincial highways?

Update: from the CBC:
The armed sheriffs will be primarily responsible for rural highways and will have the power to arrest. They will handle all aspects of highway enforcement, from ticketing to accident investigation.
An additional 21 officers will be on the job by Thanksgiving.
