Audra wrote me an email to say that when she posts on a livejournal community, her posts end up on the pages of those who have her on her “friends” list. Bread and Roses has now taken up the cause in favour of SOW. Oink. The Politic

Hi there! Status of Women Canada isn’t a feminist group, it is a government agency. There seems to be a bit of confusion about that!

I think the question of whether or not Status of Women represents non-feminist voices amongst women hasn’t really been satisfactorily addressed. The reality is that non-feminist voices do not feel represented by the Status of Women. It best represents feminists views and practices.

I’m reading more about the scary hidden feminist agenda.

Status of Women is pushing to make feminism the official ideology of Canada.

What it’s trying to do is make “gender-based analysis” obligatory through legislation. In other words, all laws, policies and programs would be examined according to feminist tenets, and if found wanting, the government would be LEGALLY REQUIRED to readjust the proposals until the feminists are satisfied with it.

It’s in its embryonic stages. This is a baby I wouldn’t mind aborting.

But if we cut this program then who will speak on the issues that affect me as a women? Issues like Sex worker rights? and CAS reforms?

Got something to say? (Read the rules first)
