    Speed traps and MutiNova cameras are all about money too.

    There is never an annual decrease in speeders and police base budget projections on this fact.

    It’s highway robbery, but accepted as a fact of police culture.

    I hate people who run red lights. Personally, I would favor a system that changed the timing of the lights ahead of a driver who runs a red light so that they have to stop for an extended period of time at the next light (like 30 minutes).

    Holden notices a terribly, terribly disturbing trend in journamalism these days — unsourced conjecture and speculation. Holden is also stunned to learn that red-light cameras could be nothing more than (gasp! horrors!) acheap cash grab. Pete gets way too Freudian. Tune in next week when Holden is taken aback by Stephen Harper’s recent lack of accountability and transparency, and Pete tells someone to suck his dick. In a purely heterosexual way, of course.
