Zing!: MacMillan on Travers

April 16, 2006 · By

Here:

The word “choice” is not considered a “euphanism” when it comes to the question of abortion policy – so, why does Travers attempt to discredit choice when the issue is child care or health care?

Liberal Shangri-La: Women have control over their own uteruses but no say whatsoever over how their children are cared for.

Liberal choice is only free choice when you chose as they and the Liberal state would. Interestingly, Mussolini thought about the same when it came to life in a fascist state: freedom is to do the will of the state.

My simplistic definition of a liberal is

one who decides who gets to join the club and then works toward giving them unlimited rights.

    –name removed–:

The government of Canada gave women the “choice” by creating more daycare spaces?!? More like hard working taxpayers. And because I have to pay for your government daycare space I can’t afford to stay home and care for my child. Why should SOME people get a free ride?

Only 1 out of every 8 children in Canada will get a space under the Liberal plan. Can you imagine the outcry if that ratio applied to health care!?

Pathetic. I’m sick of paying other people’s bills.
