Gay Activist Threatens Ethnic Minorities
June 10, 2005 · By Max West
In a ridiculous, hateful screed in yesterday’s National Post, writer Bradley Miller threatened ethnic Canadians with retaliation for opposing gay marriage.
So who is Bradley Miller? A gay-porn blog called Pageblank – right below a pic of some fellow with his willy out – recently boasted:
My friend, Bradley Miller, has gotten a job at the National Post…. Please read! He’s a smart guy and it’s a good article [in favor of prostitution].
Sorry – you won’t find the link here. If you’re interested in gay porn, find it yourself.
Miller’s anti-ethnic diatribe isn’t the first time he’s mused about the persecution of those whom, in the name of tolerance, he refuses to tolerate.
Before his job with the Post, Miller had a history of denouncing opponents of gay marriage in various letters sections of other newspapers. In a Catholic-bashing letter in the Ottawa Citizen, he giggled archly about giving columnist David Warren the Oscar Wilde treatment – persecution and imprisonment – for expressing his views after converting to Catholicism.
Here’s another nice bit of Catholic bashing by Miller in the National Post on April 22:
After almost 2,000 years of intermittently condemning, torturing and killing Jews, the Church has done an about-face. And now, those once held responsible for the death of Christ are revered as spiritual brethren.
The point of the article from which this was taken? That Catholics are to blame for AIDS in Africa.
Maybe Miller is just not a fan of tolerance – not the version that includes everyone and not just your own kind. Here’s how he concluded a piece in the Post last month:
Canadians tend to go on a bit much about their tolerant ways. But better to bore people with your piety than assault them with intolerance. How fortunate we are to live in a country where gay men do not make careers out of defaming their own kind.
The last line is hilarious in its self-contradiction, because it comes at the end of an article – entitled “Gay and Not So Proud” – trashing a number of gay Republicans. (If you want to read it, it’s posted on another gay activist website called “Sliced Bread,” run by a law student who openly trolls for dates between posts – sorry, you’ll have to find this kind of trash on your own.)
Come on, National Post – what was this, an affirmative action hire? This guy is no journalist. He’s a one-issue activist and nothing more.
