Bloggers Ignoring Warnings Not to Post Brault’s Testimony

More testimony from Brault means more speculation over possible charges against bloggers who have decided to flout the law and post the quasi-secret testimony. Andrew over at Bound by Gravity has decided that the risk wasn’t worth it, however Angry in the Great White North is standing firm.

Feds bid to plug Gomery leaks
CANADA’S attorney general is probing possible breaches of a publication ban set up to protect explosive testimony at the AdScam inquiry. Justice spokesman Patrick Charette said federal lawyers are looking into the Internet sites reproducing excerpts of Montreal ad exec Jean Brault’s testimony and providing a link to a U.S. blog featuring more extensive coverage of the hearing.

    Oh PULEEEZE. What are they going to do to you…take your name? Isn’t anybody going to stand up to these Liberal twerps? How self serving can they get and still get elected? Can you imaging if a Canadian web site or blog was charged with contempt for breaching the wall? Do you think the judge would impose a ban on testimony to protect their interests. I DON’T THINK SO. This sort of blatant government interference in free speech is the perogative of the liberals and I guess Karla Holmolka…AND WE ALL KNOW JUST WHO THAT BENEFITED…NOT HER VICTIMS THATS FOR SURE.
