It is kind of strange, but a good thing, that the mainstream media is writing about JPII in such a way. Peggy Noonan, of course, had a long piece last week about him, which is not so strange. But a couple of years ago, even the orange Toronto Globe and Mail published an editorial called “Why Jean Paul Suffers,” pitching an argument right along the same lines as the one you show case here. If only some Catholics would clue in as well.
