Martha Stewart to serve time in jail
July 19, 2004 · By Hugo Chesshire
Martha Stewart has been sentenced to 5 months in prison, 5 months home confinement and a $30,000 fine.
What has happened to justice? The Clinton administration spent more time and money hounding Bill Gates than Osama bin Laden. Stewart gets 5 months for insider trading, but Leslie Griesdorf, who had what police called the largest collection of child porn in Canadian history, gets 9 months of house arrest - not even jail! Does anyone believe that an inside trader is actually a graver danger to society than an obsessive pedophile?
Martha Stewart, the celebrity design diva synonymous with domestic perfection, was sentenced Friday to five months in prison, five months of home confinement and handed a $30,000 (U.S.) fine for lying to U.S. authorities about a stock sale.
Child porn suspect receives 18-months
A Toronto dentist who pleaded guilty to possessing what police have called the largest collection of child pornography in Canadian history, has received an 18-month conditional sentence. The 58-year-old will serve no time in prison, instead he will spend the first half of the sentence under house arrest.
